The message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan is a guideline for each individual for the next year and a long-term program for the development of all key sectors of the country.
On December 26, 2019, along with the staff of all ministries, agencies, organizations and institutions of the country, the staff of the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care Project (grant of the Asian Development Bank 0627 – TAJ (SF)) of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan with great attention have watched the Message of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, the President of the Reoublic Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli.
As the Head of State stated in his Message, “We pay special attention to health and social protection of the population, and during the year there has been built and commissioned hundreds of health facilities, including modern hospitals and health centers.
At the same time, according to the analyzes during the Independence the overall mortality rate has decreased, including the mortality rate among children under the age of five years by 3.2 times.
In this way the infrastructure of this important social sphere, especially in rural areas of the country and quality of services are getting better. In 2019, 154 health and social care facilities will be commissioned in the country.
Only in the last two years 320 types of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals and new technologies have been imported for the amount of 950 million Somoni and 150 units of sanitary and specialized vehicles have been purchased for health care facilities in cities and districts.
Over the past seven years the budget of the health sector has increased from 716 million Somoni to 1 billion 740 million Somoni that is 2,4 times more than in 2013.
By 2020, the state financing of this sector will increase by almost 2 billion Somoni, which is 6% higher than in 2019.
For implementation of the program priorities in 2013-2019, 80 public investment projects were implemented and more than 13.2 billion Somoni of state investments were directed to the country’s economy.
There are 66 public investment projects being implemented currently in the country, with a total amount of 32.4 billion somoni. In 2020, 23 new state investment projects worth 3.8 billion Somoni will be launched.
