Every year, June 1st is celebrated worldwide as International Children’s Day. In 1989, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the most important international document for the protection of the rights of children. The entry into force of this Convention on September 2, 1990 was the culmination of all the efforts undertaken by the international community for nearly 70 years to ensure that the special needs of children are duly recognized. Humanity has come a long way in adopting this document. This convention also operates in the Republic of Tajikistan, and a lot of work is being done in this direction. In particular, the project “Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care Project” under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan prioritizes the protection of children’s health. Taking this opportunity, on this auspicious day, the entire team of the project would like to congratulate all the children of the world on the International Day for the Protection Children’s Rights and wish them prosperity, happiness and health.
