In order to implement the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care (MCHIC) project of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan in a timely and effective manner, on August 6, 2020 in the hall of the Project Administration Group (PAG) there was held the first meeting on the introduction of the case-based financing system in Faizobod and Rasht districts of RRS and Shamsiddin Shahin of Khatlon region.
The meeting was attended by officials of the MoHSPP of the Republic of Tajikistan, employees of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Health Care Financing under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, employees of PAG of the MCHIC project, International Consultants and representatives of Development Partners.
It should be noted that on August 3, 2020, the International Consultant on Case-Based financing will start working in the pilot districts of the Project. The International consultant has further noted that he will make a valuable contribution to the timely and effective implementation of the Project’s activities.
At the meeting, issues related to the quality of the Case-Based financing system, exchange of experience, effective use of the system and proper human resource management, as well as other necessary measures to implement the aforementioned financing mechanism in the pilot districts of the Project have been discussed.
