On October 22 in the hall of the project Administration Group “Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care” (MCHIC) under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan in the framework of the “National Health Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2010-2020” a final meeting of the project was held related to conducting initial assessment of the quality of medical services in the pilot districts.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda, MCHIC Project Manager under MoHSPP Mahmudzoda Isfandiyor Safari, as well as members of the working group on conducting initial assessment of the quality of medical services in the pilot areas of the Project.

It should be noted that in accordance with the order of the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan in the pilot districts of the MCHIC project; Fayzobod, Rasht and Shamsiddin Shohin, the working group composed of leading health specialists, obstetricians, gynecologists, neonatologists and experienced doctors will conduct the initial assessment of the quality of medical services.
Before proceeding with the initial assessment of the quality of medical services in the pilot areas of the Project the working group will undergo a training conducted by the International Consultant of the MCHIC Project. The aforementioned assessment will cover the district health system, district hospital, interviews with staff and beneficiaries of the district hospital, assessment of primary health care facilities (PHC) and survey of staff and patients / caregivers in primary health care.
