The Working Group underwent training to conduct an initial assessment of the quality of health services in the pilot districts of the Project.

 In order to conduct an initial assessment of the quality of medical services in the pilot districts of the Project “Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care (MCHIC)” under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MOHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan to improve the quality of medical services the working group consisting of obstetricians, gynecologists, neonatologists and pediatrician underwent training.The training was held from October 26 to November 2 this year in Kokhi Surush of Dushanbe city.The training was opened by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan – Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda, who spoke about the purpose and objectives of the initial assessment of the quality of medical services in the pilot districts of the project.In the course of the training Tamara G., International Consultant of the MCHIC Project under MOHSPP of the Republic of Tajikistan has provided detailed information on how to improve the level and quality of health care and ways to conduct an initial assessment of the quality of health services in the pilot districts of the project.It should be noted that the assessment is focused to cover the district health system, the assessment tool of the district hospital, interview with staff and beneficiaries of the district hospital, the assessment tool of primary health care facilities (PHC) and survey of staff and patients / nurses.
