Collective watching of the Message of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan – Emomali Rahmon by the staff of the Project Administration Group (PAG)

Today, January 26, the staff of PAG of the “Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care” MCHIC Project under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan with high sense of dignity watched the Message of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan – Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

As the Head of State noted, taking into account that health care is one of the most important social sector, the Government of Tajikistan since independence has annually increased funding for health care to 2.1 billion Somoni.

During this period, more than 1300 new medical institutions were built, about 25 thousand personnel with higher education and 147 thousand paramedical workers were trained.

There are currently about 110,000 medical workers in the country, of which 75,000 are doctors and mid-level health workers, and over 68% are women.

In addition, the Leader of the Nation expressed his deepest gratitude to all the people of the country who showed patience and did not panic in such a difficult period, but on the contrary, united, respected each other, supported doctors and their families and worked with patients and the Government. He also expressed immense gratitude to those patriotic entrepreneurs and other generous individuals who provided medical facilities, doctors and poor families with medical equipment, medicines and food.

Today we are grateful that the infectious disease COVID-19 has been eliminated in our country since the beginning of January.

In 2020, at the expense of budgetary funds for medical institutions in the amount of about 1 billion somoni, the necessary equipment, medicines and protective equipment were purchased.

The Leader of the Nation further noted that, another priority of the health sector is to bring the condition of medical institutions in line with modern requirements.

To this end, 108 new healthcare facilities will be built in 2020 and 283 facilities will be renovated.

The analysis shows that in recent years, infection with various pathogens has become one of the main problems in the health sector.

It should be noted that the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan is a work guide for each individual of the country for the next year and a visionary program for the development of all vital sectors of the country.
