Employees of the Republican Center for Healthy Lifestyles, the Republican Training and Clinical Center for Family Medicine and the National Center for Reproductive Health underwent training.

On April 6-9, 2021 in “Kokhi Surush” in the framework of the Project “Maternal and Child Healh Integrated Care” (MCHIC) (ADB grant – 0627-TAJ (SF) under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Populaion (MOHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the output 3.1 “Capacity building of the Republican Center for Healthy Lifestyles” and strengthening partnerships ”, training on capacity building of the Republican Center for Healthy Lifestyles, the Republican Training and Clinical Center for Family Medicine and the National Center for Reproductive Health was conducted by international trainer-consultant of the UNICEF – Deepak Mehra.

Representatives of MOHSPP of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republican Center for Healthy Lifestyles, the Republican Training and Clinical Center for Family Medicine, the National Center for Reproductive Health, UNICEF and Project Adminisration Group were also present in the training.

The training was opened by O.T. Aminov, Head of the Department of Health Protection of Children and Adolescents and Development of Parenting Skills of MOHSPP of the Republic of Tajikistan, who informed the attendees about the purpose and expectations of  the training.

During the training, international trainer-consultant Deepak Mehra provided detailed information on social behavior change, planning, the use of data for decision-making, assessment and evaluation, advocacy and policy development.

Malokhat Shabanova, Nutrition Specialist of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), also provided information on the first 1000 days of a child’s life.

It should be noted that the participants of the event were divided into working groups and actively involved in the work of the event and were awarded certificates by officials of MOHSPP of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be noted that the holding of such events and training courses will help to increase the level of knowledge and skills of staff.
