On January 14, 2022, in the conference hall of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MOHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan, a regular meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the MCHIC project was held.
The meeting was attended by Jamoliddin Abdullozoda – Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Deputy Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of the MCHIC project; Khurshed M. First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan; Abdusamatzoda Z. Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan; Majidi Yu. Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan; Nasriddinzoda R., Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan; Ghanizoda M., Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan; Abdullozoda U., Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; Mahmudzoda I.S. Project Administration Group (PAG) manager; Representatives of the executive bodies of the pilot districts (Rasht and Faizobod of RRS and Shamsiddin Shohini of Khatlon region) of the MCHIC project and a number of officials of the MCHIC PAG.
The meeting was opened by Jamoliddin Abdullozoda – Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Deputy Chairman of the Steering Committee, who briefed on the agenda of the meeting and the purpose of the project to the timely measures of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to protect the health of mothers and children in the pilot districts of the project, including Faizobod and Rasht districts of Republican subordination and Shadiddin Shohin district of Khatlon region.
It was noted that all current activities within the framework of the Action Plan for the implementation of the MCHIC project were to complement the tasks outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 21, 2021 “On the main directions of domestic and foreign policy”.
According to the agenda of the meeting the manager of PAG of the MCHIC project Mahmudzoda I.S. informed the attendees about the implementation of the project in its specific parts.
During the meeting, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Khurshed Mirzo proposed to pay special attention to the timely implementation of the Project tasks, especially the process of civil works and equipment control.
At the same time, Majidi Yusuf expressed his opinion on the Financial Plan for 2022 and stressed that the necessary measures must be taken to achieve the goals in a timely manner.
It should be noted that the local governments of the pilot districts of the Project were instructed to make a valuable contribution to the implementation of various communication activities and the implementation of the medium-term results of the Project.
In the course of the meeting the issues of the agenda were discussed among the attendees and the they expressed their views on the project activities. Taking into account the discussion of issues, proposals and their importance, the Steering Committee on the implementation of the MCHIC project adopted a Work Plan for the implementation of the Project and the next meeting was set to be conducted in 2022.
