February 15, 2022 Rie Hiraoka – Director of the Social Division of the ADB Central and West Asia Department, Aziz Haidarov – ADB Project Management Manager and Ganjina Fazilova – ADB TJRM Projects management unit officer have visited the office of «Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care” project (Asian Development Bank grant – 0627 – TAJ (SF)) under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, Mahmudzoda Isfandiyor – Manager of the «Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care” project (Asian Development Bank grant – 0627 – TAJ (SF)) under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan welcomed Rie Hiraoka with her visit to the Republic of Tajikistan and made a presentation of the project implementation process based on each component.
Mahmudzoda I. noted that the total cost of the project amounted to 35.2 million US dollars, of which the grant of the Asian Development Bank is 32 million US dollars and the contribution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is 3.2 million US dollars. The disbursement of project funds for 2021 was 111%, and to date, the total disbursement of funds since the start of the project is 13.74%.
In conclusion, Madam Rie Hiraoka noted that for the timely and effective implementation of the Project objectives, it is necessary to plan activities in accordance with the signed Agreements, analyze the status of the Project implementation and find solutions for the encountered problems.
