On July 28, 2022 in the building of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan under the lead of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the “Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care (MCHIC)” project – Sattoriyon Matlubakhon Amonzoda there was held a meeting of Project Steering Committee on the MCHIC project implementation.
The meeting was attended by deputy minister of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan -Abdusamatzoda Zulfiya and members of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of the MCHIC project Abdufattohzoda Guljahon – head of the department of Social Development of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan; Khurshed Mirzo – the first deputy chairman of the State Investment Committee and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan; Majidi Yusuf – deputy minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan; Nasriddinzoda Rukhshona – deputy minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan; Abdullozoda Ziyodullo – deputy minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, Gafforzoda Nigina – deputy chairman of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mahmudzoda Isfandiyor – Project MAnager
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Matlubakhon Amonzoda, who briefed on the agenda of the meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the MCHIC project and the purpose of the project to the timely measures of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to protect the health of mothers and children in the pilot areas of the project, including Faizobod and Rasht districts of Republican subordination and Shadiddin Shohin district of Khatlon region.
According to the agenda of the meeting Mahmudzoda Isfandiyor MCHIC project manager made a presentation on the implementation of the project.
It was noted that the disbursement status for 6 months of 2022 is 111% according to the financial plan, the Project has conducted several training activities to improve the level and quality of knowledge of medical workers in the main areas of services for mothers and children and management, and construction work is underway to burn medical waste and installation of incinerators, contracts were signed for the start of major civil works.
On this issue, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan – Matlubahon Amonzoda instructed the members of the committee, the executive bodies of local authorities to make their valuable contribution to the timely and effective implementation of the project.
In continuation of the meeting, the participants discussed the issues on the agenda of the meeting, and those present expressed their opinion on the activities of the project.
Taking into account the discussion of issues, proposals and their importance, the Steering Committee on the implementation of the MCHIC project adopted an action plan.
